Fritz Palmer

Westby / Boscobel / Stoddard Fritz M. Palmer, age 58, of Westby died October 5, 2016. Fritz was born on August 28, 1958 to William and Carol (Redman) Palmer, in Boscobel, WI. After graduating High School he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Hawaii as a helicopter mechanic. He had many great memories of his time spent there with his first wife Robin (Waller) Palmer. They later divorced. Fritz owned and operated River Road Bait Shop in Stoddard, WI. During that time he competed on the State Level in Bass-Fishing Tournaments and was so proud of this. He loved music and was a self taught guitarist. On December 22, 2010 Fritz married JoAnn McKibbin. Shortly after he was diagnosed with COPD and lost the ability to do most of the things he had loved to do. He was preceded in death by his father William Palmer, mother Carol Palmer and his sister Cindy Parrish. He leaves behind his wife JoAnn, faithful companion Zoe, his dog; numerous relatives, and his Godchildren, Dustin Martin (Emily) and Desa (Jeremy) Luna. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Friends may call at the Funeral Home during the Visitation.
