Gabriella Nadia Felten, age 18, of Cashton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 19, 2020. She was born on December 13, 2001, in Viroqua, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alexsandro Felten and Yolanda Rivera. Gabby, as many knew her, was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend. Gabby was beautiful inside and out. Gabby loved her sisters more than anything in the world, and carried out the role of big “issy” with all of the love in her heart. When she would walk into a room, her youngest sister Desiree would beam with pride and joy. In her eyes, Gabby was her hero. To Angelica, Gabby was more than a sister. Angelica and Gabby were inseparable. They were each other’s confidants, cheerleaders, and biggest supporters. In a world filled with so much hate and negativity, Gabby was a beacon of hope and light for her sister, always encouraging her to achieve more. The thing that both Angelica and Desiree will miss the most about Gabby, is the warmth and comfort of her hugs. Gabby loved horses, and grandma and grandpa Felten’s farm was one of her favorite places in the world. Whether it was riding horses, camping outside with her cousins, or just spending time with family, the farm was the happiest place on earth for her. It was there that Gabby came to know God, and she knew that there was something greater waiting for her beyond this world. Gabby loved to laugh, and had a smile that could light up a room. To those who had the privilege of knowing her, it was a gift to be able to experience the warmth and tenderness of her heart. She repeatedly put others needs above her own. She always encouraged friends and loved ones in their successes and supported them in their hard times. She exuded love and positivity, and always looked for the best in people and encouraged everyone to look on the bright side of things. Gabby touched the lives of so many, and her forgiveness, passion, and tenderness will always be felt by those who were fortunate enough to experience them. When you think of Gabby, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is short and fragile and should be lived to the fullest. Gabby will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. Gabby is preceded in death by her grandmother, Leona Rivera; and great grandmother, Mary Lou Schlegel. Gabby is survived by her father Alexsandro Felten; her mother Yolanda Rivera; her grandparents, Ronald and Carol Ann Felten; her grandfather, Juan Rivera; her sisters Angelica Rivera and Desiree Felten; her stepfather Refugio Guerra; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
