Gail Kyser, 59, of Viroqua died Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Gail Yvonne Kyser, 59 of Viroqua, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at her home. She was born May 24, 1951 to Donald and Garnet (Allen) Holsted in Hampshire, Illinois. Gail graduated from Hampshire High School in 1969 and moved to Neshkoro, Wisconsin in 1973 where she farmed and worked in several factories. She moved to Viroqua in 1989 and farmed until starting work at Nelson Muffler in September of 1994. Gail was a very hard worker who enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family, along with traveling out west. She is survived by her husband, Bill Kyser, whom she married on May 25, 2007; her son Clinton (Ann) Ackman and grandson, Chandler Ackman of McConnell, Ill.; son, Matthew Ackman and fiancee, Kelly Paulson and grandson, Shannon Ackman of Peterson, Minn.; father, Donald Holsted of Neshkoro, Wis.; brother, Steve (Kim) Holsted of Neshkoro, Wis.; sister, Marge Crone of Green Bay, Wis.; mother-in-law, Ervilla Kyser of Viroqua; stepson, Mike (Jody) Kyser and grandsons, Hunter and Holden Kyser of Viroqua; sisters-in-law, Sandy Jaworski of Viroqua and Lou Ann (Bill) Wolff of Coon Valley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Garnet Holsted; and father-in-law, Kenneth Kyser.Blessed be our memory of Gail Kyser. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main St., (Hwy. 14 S) in Westby. The Rev. Dr. Steven Fossum will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from 4-6 p.m. at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby and again on Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until time of service. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby and the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua are serving the family.
