Gavin K. Williams, 6 month old son of Rick and Sue Williams of Coon Valley, died Saturday, September 12, 2009. Gavin Kenneth Williams, 6 month old son of Rick and Sue Williams of Coon Valley, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Gundersen Lutheran in LaCrosse. Gavin is survived by his parents; grandparents Tom and Mary Garavalia of Stoddard, Ken Williams of LaFarge; aunts and uncles: Jean (Mike) Mihelich of Plainfield, IL, Lori (Doug) Williams of Holman, Jo Ann (Kerry) Knutson of Westby, Gary (Denise) Garavalia of LaCrosse, David (Tina) Williams of LaFarge, and Kathy (Kevin) Larson of Coon Valley; cousins: Anna and Erin Mihelich, Sarah and Andrew Knutson, Marisha Garavalia, Abbey Williams, and Kristy and Kyle Larson. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Hazel Williams. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Sue MacLellan-Tobert, Theresa Falk, Gunderson Hospital NICU Staff and Coon Valley First Responders. Memorial contributions may be made the Childrens Miracle Network, Coon Valley First Responders and Friends of Chaseburg. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby from 4 to 6 p.m. The Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Coon Valley with Father Delbert Malin celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in Stoddard Cemetery. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family. 'Gavin was a very special boy that touched so many people in his short life. His smile was so precious that it melted many hearts. He was and always will be our little ray of sunshine.'
