Gaylord “Andy” Anderson, age 86, of Soldiers Grove Wisconsin, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 27, 2023. Gaylord was born to Glenwood and Lorraine Anderson on June 27, 1936, in Black Earth, Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Leah (Rheinschmidt) and their five children: AnnaMarie (Brad) Beeman, Mark (Sue) Anderson, Rebecca Anderson, Andrew (Jody) Anderson, and Steven (Shelley) Anderson; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three siblings: Karen (LeRoy) Taylor, Barbara (David) Grover, and Butch (Chris) Anderson. Preceding him in death were two brothers: Jim (Joy) Anderson and Glen Jr (Ivy) Anderson.
Gaylord spent his formative years on his grandparent’s farm which is now a part of Governor Dodge State Park. The park was a favorite place for family gatherings as he watched his family grow. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force stationed in Germany in the mid 1950’s. Gaylord retired from the Richland Center School District after 22 years of service as part of the maintenance team.
His interment will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sabin, Wisconsin, at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to your favorite local charity of your choosing. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
