George Arthur Lincicum

George Arthur (Linc) Lincicum, 94, of Hansville, WA, died Friday, June 5, 2026 at home in Hansville, WA. He passed peacefully under the care of his daughter & son with assistance from Envision Hospice.

Linc was born in Gays Mills, WI, on July 3, 1931, the son of Ella Christine (Sime) Lincicum and Frank Cecil Lincicum. He was a graduate of South Wayne High School and attended college at the University of Wisconsin—Platteville before joining the US Navy.

Linc & Donna Joan (Reif) Lincicum were married Jan. 23, 1953, in Burlingame, CA in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Patricia and his best friend Roger Johnson. Linc served on the US Navy destroyer USS Floyd B. Parks (DD-884) during the Korean War as an electronics technician & marched on an award-winning Navy Drill team. After discharge from the Navy, he worked briefly as a draftsman for the Gisholt Machine Company in Madison, WI before relocating to the Seattle area where he worked on the defense contracting side of Boeing for the duration of his career, retiring after 33 years of employment.

Linc was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He and Donna raised their two children in Bellevue, WA. Linc was very involved with his family, taking them fishing and camping, supporting and attending most (if not all) of his kids’ sporting events, and volunteering in the community & youth sporting organizations. Linc was known & respected for his helpful neighborliness and his lawn and garden. His putting green quality lawn was the envy of the neighborhood!

After retirement, he & Donna moved to the home they built in Hansville, WA on the bluff overlooking Point No Point Lighthouse, Puget Sound, Whidbey Island, and the Cascade Mountains. The grandchildren have loving memories of time spent at their home & on the beach building sandcastles with him. He continued to be an involved and supportive neighbor and maintained the HOA’s trails, walkways & common areas for many years. The community honored his service by placing a “Linc’s Lane” sign on the walkway closest to their home.

The last of his generation, Linc is survived by a son & daughter, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He lovingly cared for Donna throughout her 10-year Alzheimer’s journey, caring for her at home until the last 6 months of her life and even then, he frequently brought her home for lunch so she could enjoy their home & it’s lovely view. His care of Donna was the example followed by his children in honoring his desire to pass in the home he loved.

The family is grateful to neighbors, community members and Envision Hospice for their assistance caring for Linc in his final months. Without their help the family would have faced challenges honoring his wish to remain at home until the end.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:30AM at Utica Lutheran Church, 14974 WI-27 in Ferryville. A graveside service will immediately follow at 1:00PM at Gays Mills Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Gays Mills Community Center.
