Gerald 'Jerry' Olson, 73, of Viroqua died Monday, June 14, 2010. Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Olson, 73, of Viroqua died Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Tomah V.A. Hospital.Jerry was born on April 13, 1937 in Woodstock, IL, to Melvin and Ruby (Hermanson) Olson. He grew up in the Woodstock area and following High School served in the United States Army. Jerry spent much of his working as a welder.Jerry is survived by his sisters: Dolores Buchanan, Eldora (Tom) Johnson, Irene (Al) Steinwehe; 5 neices; and 3 nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister LuVerne; son Todd; brother-in-law Jim Buchanan; one nephew and three nieces.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56), in Viroqua. Pastor George Shick will officiate with burial in Woodstock IL.
