Gertrude (Trudy) Dugan, age 96, of Viroqua, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Gertrude (Trudy) Dugan, age 96, of Viroqua, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Vernon Memorial Hospital. Trudy was born August 1, 1920 on a farm in Boaz, WI to Sheldon and Iva (Popp) Glick. She spent her elementary school years growing up in the Blue River, WI area with her siblings Ruby and Gordon. She then attended and graduated in 1938 from Viola High School. After high school she went on to attend The Normal School in La Crosse for one year and later went to Madison Beauty Culture School where she received her Beautician's License. She was married to Maurice Dugan and later was blessed with two children Robert (Bob) and Carolyn (Carol). After years of living in Madison she moved to the Richland Center, WI area and worked as a beautician for Huffmans Beauty Salon while raising her children. She then moved to Viola, WI where she opened her own beauty salon and resided for many years. Trudy is survived by: her son, Robert (Donna) Dugan of Viola, WI; her son-in-law, John (Carol) Campbell of Johnsburg, IL; her six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews. Trudy was preceded in death by: her parents Sheldon and Iva (Popp) Glick; her sister Ruby (Jack) Alfini of Spring Green; her brother Gordon (Tookie) Glick; and her daughter Carolyn (John) Campbell of Johnsburg, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Viroqua with burial to follow in the Sylvan Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-6pm on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home (123 W Decker, Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday from 10am till the time of service at 11.
