Glen L. Olson, age 76, formerly of Viola and La Farge, died Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Bethel Home and Services in Viroqua. Glen LeVerne Olson, age 76, of Viola and La Farge, died January 30, 2018 at the Bethel Home. Glen was born on January 27, 1942 to Jacob and Clara (Olson) Olson. He married Dianna LePage and they had 3 kids, Michelle, Christopher, and Mike. Glen enjoyed farming, fixing cars, trucks, and having fun and spending time with family and friends. Glen left school around 16 to go work on Alben and Harriet Briggsons farm doing farm work with them and their kids John and Ann. He thought of the Briggson family as his family. He worked there many years and lived with them. Glen also worked at Jeffers Truck Sales and La Farge Truck Center for many years and many hours as a mechanic and wrecker driver. Glen is survived by his kids: Michelle (John), Mike, and Wendy; his Brothers and Sister: Irene (Jerry) Riley, Henry (Millie), and Benny; his grandkids: Dianna, Ashley, Christopher, Alicia McGinnis, Robert Hirschfield, and other relatives and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Glen had special best friends: John Briggson, Dan (Booner) McGinnis, and Ed and Sue Burkhamer. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by: his son, Christopher; grandson, Cody; his sisters: Bretice and Olena; his brothers: David, Daniel, Raymond, and Steve; his sister-in-law, Beverly; and his granddaughter Amanda McGinnis. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the La Farge Free Methodist Church in La Farge. Pastor Mark Phillips will officiate. Friends may call from 9am until the time of service at 11. In lieu of plants or flowers, memorial to the family are preferred.
