Harriet Thompson, age 75 of Viroqua died Friday, May 22, 2009. Harriet S. Thompson, age 75 of Viroqua, died early Friday morning, May 22, 2009 at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse. She was born on September 12, 1933 in rural Cashton, Wisconsin to Oscar and Josephine (Running) Thompson. Harriet resided in the Skogdalen area for many years where she was a member of the Skogdalen Lutheran Church. After her parents deaths, she moved to Viroqua in 1977. Harriet did house-cleaning for many years at various homes in the area. She is survived by one aunt, Helen Endicott of Viroqua; a number of cousins, many friends and her two beloved dogs, Roxanne and David. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Arlie Thompson who died during the Korean War. Blessed be our memory of Harriet Thompson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Believers Fellowship Church in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Pastor Trever Skrede will officiate with burial in the Skogdalen Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
