Harvey Edward Potter

Harvey Edward Potter, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on April 1, 1952, in La Farge, Wisconsin. Harvey dedicated his career to public service as an auditor for the State of Wisconsin. He proudly served in the Army, and his commitment to his country and community was a testament to his character. After his "retirement" he continued his service to the communities where he lived by serving in public office and the local VFW post.

Harvey had a zest for life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hiking the beautiful trails of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. His adventurous spirit took him across the United States exploring the country that he loved. An avid gardener, he took great joy in nurturing his plants and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. His unwavering support for the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers made him an energetic presence during game days, bringing laughter and camaraderie to those around him.

Harvey is survived by his sons, Andrew (Ashley) Potter and Ross Potter. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters, Ona Madden, Leota Chadwick, Helen Ewing, and Zell Spry; his brothers-in-law, Bernal Ewing, George Hurst and Richard Spry; his sister-in-law, Alene Potter; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The warmth and love he brought into their lives and their families will forever be cherished.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Una Potter; his brother, Joseph Potter; his sisters, Margaret Hurst and Mary Fish; and his brothers-in-law, Dale Fish and Leslie Chadwick.

In honor of his vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to so many, a celebration of Harvey's life will be held at Vosseteig Funeral Home, 203 North State Street, La Farge, WI 54639 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, where family and friends will gather to share memories, stories, and laughter in his memory.
