WESTBY / LaFARGE Hazel Vitcenda, age 99, of Westby, died Monday, December 4, 2017. Hazel Hope Vitcenda, 99, passed away December 4, 2017 at Norseland Nursing Home in Westby. She was born August 18, 1918 near La Farge, to Charles and Lucinda (Lawrence) Hopkins. She married Carl Vitcenda on August 19,1937. They lived and raised their family on a farm near Valley. They retired and moved in Westby in 1995. Hazel is survived by two daughters: Karen Ekern of Westby, and Janet (Larry) Jansen of Kalispell, Montana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on December 16, 2017 at the Westby Coon Prairie Church. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial in the Rockton Cemetery following a luncheon. Friends may call at the church form 9:30 till the time of service at 10:30. Online Condolences may be offered at www.VossFH.com. In lieu of plants or flowers, memorials are preferred.
