Helen Elaine Yount

Helen Elaine Yount, age 95, of Park Ridge, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. She was born March 21, 1926, in Westby, Wis. to Chester and Helen (Boggs) Hovde. She grew up in Wisconsin and worked at her family’s bakery in Westby as a child. She moved to Park Ridge, Illinois where she began working in the banking industry. She enjoyed decorating her home and yard in Oriental decorations and always liked to be outside working in her yard. Survivors include her son, Bryan Yount of Park Ridge, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ann Taylor, Les Hovde, Lee Hovde; brother-in-law, Walter Taylor, sisters-in-law, Doris Hovde and Dorothy Hovde. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. A prayer service will follow.
