Helen Gorder

Helen Gorder,Wednesday, April 20, 2005 Helen Gorder, age 89 of Viroqua, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua. She was born on February 14, 1916 in Soldiers Grove, Crawford County, Wisconsin to Anthony and Stella (Slaback) Gorman. On February 22, 1949 she was united in marriage to Harold Gorder in the Methodist Parsonage in Viroqua. Helen was a member of the Viroqua United Methodist Church and had worked at Vernon Manor Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed making quilts and visiting with people. Prior to becoming a resident of Vernon Manor on February 23, 2005, Helen had lived for several years at the Park View Manor in Viroqua. Helen is survived by two cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold on March 13, 1981; and five brothers: Leo, Harold, Walter, Clarence and Kenneth
