Helen McClelland, November 8, 2005 Helen McClelland, age 96, passed away on November 8, 2005 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua, WI where she had resided for over six years. She was born Helen Elizabeth Pritchard, January 7, 1909 in Geneseo, IL. Helen was a graduate of Geneseo High School and Illinois State University. At Normal School she met her future husband Foster Kenneth McClelland of Harvard, Illinois. They married December 25, 1934 and lived in Gilman, Illinois and Valparaiso, Indiana before moving to Eaton Rapids, Michigan where they raised their family and both taught school. Helen was involved in various professional groups and First Congressional Church. In 1993, Helen moved to Bethel Birchwood, Viroqua, Wisconsin and became a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Low Vision Support Group. Helen had a wonderful memory and enjoyed visits with family and friends. She will truly be missed. Helen is survived by one son, John F. (JoAnn Conrad) McClelland of Viroqua, WI, and two daughters, Janice Ann (Frank) Lucero of Holbrook, AZ, and Jean Carol (Michael) Leverenz of Rio Rancho, NM; six grandchildren, John Jr. (Wendy) McClelland, Juliene (Kevin) Sloane, Janelle (Robbie) Oldham, Joe (Darcy) McClelland all of Viroqua, WI, Brennan Leverenz of Los Angeles, CA, Quinn Leverenz of Phoenix, AZ, two step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Joanne Gernant, Elizabeth Fassett and Mary Lou Booker of Illinois. She was predeceased by her husband, Foster in 1973; three siblings: Bernice Bollen, Gilbert (Irene) Pritchard and Henry (Evelyn) Pritchard; and nephew, Henry Pritchard, Jr.
