Henry Earl Anderson

Henry Earl Anderson, 77, of Viroqua, died on September 29th, 2012. Henry Earl Anderson, 77, of Viroqua, passed away at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital on September 29th, 2012. He was born to Olaf and Edna Anderson on July 3rd, 1935. He grew up in the Westby area and graduated from Westby High School. He went on to attend vocational school in La Crosse. He worked as typesetter at several newspapers. In later years he enjoyed working with the elderly and people with disabilities, helping them with daily living. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Lawrence and Blaine Anderson; and nephew Rodney Allen. He is survived by three sisters, Ruth Ekholm, Inga Allen and Opal Weiss; favorite nephew, Ronald Allen; special nieces, Margaret Goetting and Lana Caldwell; and by many great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be remembered for his kindness to his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Memorial contributions may be directed to Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main, in Westby. Burial will follow in Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
