Hope A. Meseberg

Hope Alene Meseberg, age 94, of La Farge, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Elroy Health Services. She was born on April 23, 1928, the daughter of Floyd and Clara (Freeze) Blakley. She graduated from La Farge High School. Hope married Ernie Meseberg on April 5, 1948, in La Farge. Together they farmed in the Town of Union in Vernon County. After their children were old enough to help with chores, she started working away from home. She worked at Tillman’s in Wilton, Hillsboro Sewing Factory, and worked for over 25 years as a housekeeper for St. Joseph’s Nursing Home & Hospital in Hillsboro. After Ernie died, she moved to Hillsboro and later to La Farge where she worked at the Senior Center for several years. Survivors include her three children, Frank, Kenneth (Patricia) and Patty (Dave) Wiedemann; 14 grandchildren, Adrian (Christina) Meseberg, Nathan (Jenny) Meseberg, Eric (Sara) Meseberg, Kylie Meseberg, Jason (Cindy) Coggon, Jenny (Rich) Fields, Danny Coggon, Jeremy Coggon, Stacey (Derek) Clark, Stephanie (Bryce) Fuller, Darcey Coggon, Evan (Jessica) Wiedemann, Carson (Mindy) Wiedemann, and Maggie Wiedemann; several great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Hope was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her husband, Ernie; daughter, Susan; infant daughter; and daughter-in-law, Ramona. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Frances (Alf) Larson, Helen Riddle, and an infant brother. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the La Farge Free Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
