Howard Gerald SchellMay 28, 2005 Howard Gerald Schell, age 80 of Cashton, died on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at his residence in Cashton. He was born on March 9, 1925 in Cashton to Harvey and Bella (Johnson) Schell. On June 13, 1964 he was united in marriage to DeLaine (Erickson). He worked at Cashton Motors for over 30 years, and was a school bus driver for Cashton Schools. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Marine Corps, flying as Flight Engineer in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Cashton American Legion Post #445 and a life member of the Cashton V.F.W Post #8584. In addition to his wife, DeLaine, Howard is survived by three sons: Jerry Schell of Florida, Brad Schell, and Bruce (Donna) Schell of Sussex; four stepchildren: Larry (Bonnie) Christopherson of Viroqua, David (Pam) Christopherson of Rochester, MN, Mike (Mary) Christopherson of Madison, and Pam (Rob) Barron of Florida; five grandchildren: Ryan, Steven, Trevor, Kim, and Mark; one great-grandson, Logan; three sisters: Ruth Peshak, Mary Lee, and Lois Small. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ray Lee; one daughter: Laura Schell; three sisters-in-law: Thelma Wheeler, Mabel Dinger, and Myrtle Lee; two brothers-in-law: Marvin Gilbeck and Lawrence Gilbeck.
