Ian Aird

Ian Aird, 57, of Viroqua, died Sunday, January 6th 2013. Ian Andrew Aird, 57 of Viroqua and formerly of Birmingham England passed away at his home on Sunday, January 6th. He was born August 11, 1955 to Alexander and Dorothy (Hennessey) Aird. Ian met his wife, Wanda, online in 2001. They had quite the romance flying back and forth to see each other. Luckily, travel was something Ian loved doing. He moved here where they were married on Valentines Day 2004. Ian would always say to Wanda 'I can't give you much but I promise to make you laugh everyday'. Ian is survived by his wife of 9 years, Wanda, daughters: Michelle (Andy) and Gemma (Carl) in England, Julie (Travis), Heather, and sons: Steve (Susan) and Nate (Sue), grandchildren: Mathew, Nathan and Alex in England, Jordan, Lauren and Cody. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Alec and Alan in England. Ian was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister Barbara. Ian would want you all to know that he appreciated the time he spent with his friends and family. Thank you all for being a part of Ians life. A Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 starting at 3 p.m. at the Viroqua Eagles. A meal will be served following a prayer by Pastor Kathryn Ingbritsen at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be directed to the Vernon Memorial Hospital Hospice House. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
