Ida Bown

GAYS MILLS / WESTON Ida M. Bown, age 75 of Gays Mills died Wednesday July 26, 2017 at St. Claires Hospital in Weston, WI. Ida was born in Viroqua on March 18, 1942 to Clarence and Thelma (Jacobson) Hatlan. She graduated form Soldiers Grove High School. Ida enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing, and knitting. She did "In Home Daycare" for several families in the area for many years. Ida is survived by her daughter, Laurie (David) Jansen; granddaughter, Cassidy; Sister, Evelyn (Hatlan) Anderson; Brother, Clarence Jr. (Dena) Hatlan; as well as by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Charles T. Bown. In Lieu of plant or flowers, memorials may be sent to Jeremiahs Crossing, P.O. Box 126, 2440 Cty Hwy X, Babcock WI 54413. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home (325 Sunset Ridge) in Gays Mills. Pastor Carrie Anderson will officiate with burial to follow in the Gays Mills Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10am till the time of service at 11.
