Imogene Jean Link

She was born in Texas to Omar and Ida Womack on May 10, 1923 and graduated from Trenton High School. She married John Link Jr. and they were married for over 30 years before he died on April 16, 1974. She lived in Milwaukee until retiring and moving to Texas. She later moved to Viroqua to be near her daughter. Jean enjoyed painting, singing, and spending time with family, especially grandchildren. She is survived by two children: John (Debra) Link III, and Linda (Dan) Hammersmith; five grandchildren: Michael (Jodi) Hammersmith, Laura Link, Tracy Sherman, Jamie Link, and Jodi Link; five great-grandchildren: Emily, Erica, Cholie, Kailey, and Ashlynn; and great-great-grandchildren: Madalynn, and Olivia. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St in Viroqua. Bonita Dorschied will officiate with entombment at the Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wi. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving family.
