Irving C. Rupp, 88, of Westby died Sunday, May 13, 2012 Irving C. Rupp age 88, passed into eternal life on May 13, 2012 at Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He was born on February 21, 1924 to Irving and Malinda (Sellmann) Rupp in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He called Waukesha home his entire life and was a lifelong faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Waukesha, where he loved, served, and worshiped his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Irving proudly served in Europe with the 8th Air Force during World War II. After the war he married the love of his life, Ethel Duwel, on August 27, 1949. He worked in industry during his life and for the last 20+ years before retirement at McKey Perforating in New Berlin, Wisconsin. In addition to his sister Marion Ordway of Hartland, Wisconsin, Irving is survived by his children: Karen (Sidney) Helms of Ridgeway, Virginia (Karen has 2 children, Jason and Emily, and 5 grandchildren), Kenneth (Ruth) Rupp of Westby, Wisconsin, Lawrence (Cheryl) Rupp of Gilbert, Iowa (Larry has 2 children, Amy and Bonnie, and 4 grandchildren). Irving was preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents, a brother (Ralph Rupp), and a sister (Betty Blaedow). Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha, WI (www.trinitywels.com). Pastor Scott Oelhafen Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home in Westby, WI. Friends may also call on Thursday from 12 Noon until the time of the service at the church in Waukesha. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
