Jacqueline Sue Hornby Kimrey, 63, of Concord, North Carolina died at Vernon Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 9, 2015 after a long illness. She was born August 31, 1951 in Kenosha, WI to Alfred Jason and Helen Henrichs Hornby. She was the youngest of seven living children. When she was nine the family moved back to their home in Viroqua. She graduated from Viroqua High School in 1969 and attended U.W. Eau Claire. She returned to Kenosha to work at American Motors where she met Engineman 2nd Class Bryce Alexandar Kimrey. They lived in North Carolina, first at the home farm at Norwood and most of their married lives in Concord. She first worked at an electronics factory and then at Philip Morris for 20 years, retiring in 2006. She enjoyed her computer games and many face book friends. She stated that through the computer she kept in closer contact with family members than ever before. One highlight of her retirement was a trip around the world with Bryce and sister Joanne. She enjoyed meeting and making friends in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and a cousin in Germany. She is survived by her husband, Bryce; brothers: Bob (Alice) Hornby of Land O Lakes, Jim (Carol) Hornby of Black River Falls; sisters: Audrey (Ken) Nys of Green Bay, Joanne of Viroqua, Carolyn (Horst) Dressler of Wauwatosa; adopted sons: Jason Price, of Concord, N.C. and Bradley Garner of San Diego, CA; a special God Son, Don Buchanan of Union Grove, WI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant brothers; sister and brother-in-law, Dolores (Don) Farrington of Kenosha and a very dear friend in North Carolina, Barbara Garner. She will be missed by family and many acquaintances. There will be a prayer service at the Vernon Memorial Expo Building at the Vernon County Fair Grounds at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11th.
