James H. Rutter

James H. Rutter, age 75 of Viroqua and formerly of Ferryville, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua. He was born August 6, 1932 to William and Selma (Olson) Rutter in Crawford County. He worked at Briggs and Straton in Milwaukee and moved back to the Ferryville area where he helped farmers and raised tobacco. James is survived by one brother, Lawrence Rutter of West Salem, WI; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Clifford, William, Orris, LaFrances Rutter; one sister: Leona Munson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker Street (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Libby Howe will officiate with burial in the Freeman Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Ferryville. Friends may call on Thursday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
