James Richard Morgan

James R. Morgan (Jim), age 77, of La Farge WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Gundersen Hospital following a brief illness with loving family by his side.

Jim was born on February 9, 1948 to the late John P and Annette T Morgan at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, Ill. 

Jim enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved fishing. In his younger years he loved hunting for morels and gingseng on his father's farm. Jim served his country honorably in Vietnam 1968-1970 as a United States Marine.

Jim is survived by his youngest sister Janet (Robert) Hudson and their children: Nicole (Jonathan) Stakston, Courtney Brockway, Amanda (Jason) Stradt, Melissa (David) Lucas, Sawyer (Christopher) Goff, Shaun (Kayo) Hudson, niece Jean Kettenhoven, nephew John Morgan Jr, niece Michele (Morgan) Rogers, niece Joan (Mike) Bueschel, nephew Brian Konieczki, niece Susan Dyrcon and many great nieces, nephews and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan Krisel, brother Jack Morgan and sister Jean Konieczki. A celebration of life is planned in the spring with a burial at Bear Creek Cemetery in La Farge, Wisconsin.
