James Richard Schoppen, age 65 of Viroqua, died Friday November 8, 2019. James Richard Schoppen, age 65 of Viroqua, died peacefully at home, Friday November 8, 2019, surrounded by loving family and hospice caregivers. James was born in Chicago IL on June 23, 1954 to Paul and Geraldine (Tributoski) Schoppen. Jim graduated High School and later found love and married Adele Marie Wills. They later divorced but remained always close. Jim was a Painter and sheet-rocker by trade and talent. He was a master painter who enjoyed putting in the final touches of construction. He liked his beer and spending time with friends just hanging-out. He was a classic hard rocker at heart. Jim loved his family and the memories of times with Jim will always be cherished. James is survived by Adele; his children James, Valerie, Benjamin and Jerry Schoopen; brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother Jerry Schoppen Private funeral services for James and the family have been attended to.
