Janet Halverson, 67, of Soldiers Grove, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 Janet R. Halverson (Skrede), age 67 of Soldiers Grove, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was born on June 29, 1948 to Leonard and Iva (Cole) Skrede in Westby. She attended Viroqua High School and on September 4, 1966 married Gary S. Olson: He passed away on July 13, 1974. Janet then married Marlen "Gary" Halverson on October 16, 1976 and they have been married 38 years. Janet was employed as a bartender for 34 years and 14 years at Campbells Mobil in Soldiers Grove. She is survived by her husband, Gary of Soldiers Grove; three sons: Orrin "Butch" (Diane) Olson of Gays Mills, Branden J. (Sara) Halverson of Boscobel, and step-son, Kory (Amy) Halverson of Viroqua; two daughters: Kym (Larry) Getter of Viroqua and Karla (David) Pugh of Soldiers Grove; daughter-in-law, Jaime Halverson; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Connie Nundahl of Janesville and Muriel Halverson of Viroqua. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Skrede and Tobey Skrede; one sister, Leona (Jean) Bergum; one step-son, Kevin Halverson; and one step-grandson, Joshua Krambeer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Soldiers Grove with Pastor Lorie Betz officiating.
