Janice Ilene Beeler, 84, of La Crosse died Saturday, November 5th, 2011. Janice Ilene Beeler, 84, of La Crosse went to heaven surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 5th, 2011. She was born on August 1, 1927 to Theophil and Helen (Thom) Thoreson in Westby, WI. On September 23, 1950 she married James W. Beeler. Together they had four children. Jan enjoyed playing cards, gardening, the great outdoors in all seasons and she treasured her many friends. She loved her summers at the cabin on Sand Lake up north. She was part of the Nokomis Grandmother's Club where she felt honored to be 'Grandmother of the Year' in 2010. Jan especially cherished time with her family. Jan is survived by children Julie (Keith) Horder of Peoria, AZ, Timothy (Kay) Beeler of La Crosse, Todd (Terry) Beeler of La Crosse, Troy (Tina) Beeler of Inver Grove Heights, MN; grandchildren Michelle (Cary) Boyles, Che (Nicole) Horder, Melissa Beeler, Melynda Beeler (Bryan Hagen), Tyler Beeler (Vanessa Wall), Trisha Beeler and Maxx Beeler; great grandchildren: Micheala, Matthew, Jeremy, Skyler, Mason, Hadley and Taytum. Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday November 9, 2011 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home (708 S. Main St.) in Westby. Pastor Gary Daines will officiate with burial in Our Savior's Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers or Plants memorials are preferred. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
