Janice Peterson, 82, of Viroqua, died Sunday, January 29, 2017. Janice Peterson, 82, of Viroqua, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Janice was born on February 15, 1934 to Herman and Helen (Leonard) Manske. She was raised in Chaseburg until the passing of her father. She graduated from Viroqua High School in 1951. She married Victor Peterson on June 7th, 1951. Janice had numerous jobs but her favorites were at K&L as a bookkeeper, and at VARC, where she was able to spend a lot of time with her son, Todd. Janice has always loved music, and enjoyed singing along. She is survived by her husband, Victor; three children: Debbie (John) Hanson of Viroqua, Craig (Renee) Peterson of Wellsville, KS, and Todd Peterson of Viroqua, three grandchildren: Stephanie (Rob) Myers of Goshen, IN, Heather Peterson of Madison, and Julie (Travis) Geier of Westby, four great grandchildren with one more expected in May: Logan, Alexis, and Brayden Myers, and Makenna Geier. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Delores, and other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Pastor Yvonne Marshall will officiate with burial to follow in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 4-6 P.M. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home (123 W Decker, Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 10 A.M. till the time of service at 11.
