Jean Knutson

Jean Knutson, age 87, of Viroqua, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Bethel Oaks Memory Care. She was born on October 8, 1936, to the late Herbert and Constance (Olson) Knutson. Jean graduated from Springville Grade School, then Viroqua High School, and after graduation, she attended County Teacher’s College in Viroqua to study for her teaching degree which she finished in La Crosse.

She had a large heart for animals, but was especially fond of horses, cats, and dogs.

Jean is survived by her son, David (Jen) Knutson; her twin brother, John; her sister, Anita Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Harlan, LaMont, Delores Randles, and Marianne Stellner.

Jean’s family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Oaks Memory Care for their wonderful care.

Per Jean’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date with burial to follow.
