Jeff L. Jacobson, age 49 of rural DeSoto, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 Jeff L. Jacobson, age 49 of rural DeSoto, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at his home. He was born on November 16, 1963 in Racine to Ralph and Anna (Simonek) Jacobson. On May 27, 1989 he was united in marriage to Janet Ammann. Jeff worked as a chemical process operator at Johnson Diversey in Racine until the plant closed, and was currently working at the LaCrosse City Brewery. Jeff and Janet built their dream home near DeSoto over the course of six years and had lived full time in that home for the last two years. Jeff was a strong fan of the Green Bay Packers and he also enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by one son, Steven (Stephanie) Jacobson of Powell, WY; two grandchildren: Kayleena and Alexander Lee Jacobson; three siblings: Paulette (Tom) Brunner, Peter (Cathy) Jacobson and Donna (Dave Browers; his goddaughter, Stefanie Noack; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry; and his father and mother-in-law, Richard and Marion Ammann. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 320 Main (Hwy 82) in DeSoto. Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to the service.
