Jennette Irene Stussy

Jennette Irene (Swanson) Stussy, age 92, of Gays Mills, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020. She was born March 18, 1928, in Utica Township to the late Selmer and Ida (Krogen) Swanson. Jennette married Robert Stussy on October 16, 1949. They farmed from 1956-1986 in Utica Township. They then moved to Gays Mills. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking, reading, her family and friends. She really enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her coffee pot was always on and everyone was welcome at her table. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary post 308 for many years. Survivors include her children: Linda Horton of Poplar Grove, IL, Steve (Chrystal) Stussy of Gays Mills, WI, Don (Vera) Stussy of Soldiers Grove, WI, Cheryl (Paul) Stussy-Kratochwill of Anchorage, Alaska; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jennette was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Sandra Armoto; her husband Robert; her sisters Helen Wallace and Evelyn Knoble; her brothers: Gayhard Swanson and Albin Swanson; her brothers-in-law Joe Knoble, Bob Jones and Harold Wallace; sisters-in-law Marian Swanson, Faye Swanson and Rosemary Jones; other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated. A private graveside service will be held at the Gays Mills Cemetery. Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills is serving the family.
