Jerrold "Jerry" Buros

Jerrold Allan Buros, age 74, of Westby, passed away on Friday, April 17th, 2026, at Emplify Health in La Crosse. He was born on November 23, 1951, to Nordahl and Arleen Buros. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Westby and graduated from Westby High School in 1969. He graduated from Western Wisconsin Tech College with an associate degree.

Jerry farmed with his parents, starting in dairy and tobacco and later beef. He was a self-employed electrician from 1977 until 2024. Jerry married Dianne Anderson on April 8th, 1972. Keeping the century farm in the Buros name was very important to him. He enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, and hunting. Hunting trips were his highlight along with his antique collection. Brewers games were a must and he seldom missed a game! Jerry also enjoyed spending time at the cabin up north and always enjoyed summer adventures. The last few years he enjoyed men’s coffee club every morning. He loved seeing his kids and grandkids succeed in their adventures.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne; his children, Craig (Jennifer) Buros, Lisa (Chad) Zentner, and Kyle (Lisa) Buros; his grandchildren, Kayla (Karth) Whiteside, Brendan Buros, Gabrielle Kelly, and Jaxon Zentner; his sister, Joann (Mike) Osborne; his sisters-in-law, Carol (Tom) Olson, Alaine (Jerry) Abrams, Aline (Curt) Hess, and Shirley Soltau; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law, Howard and Mildred Anderson; and many aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Service for Jerry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Pastor Alyssa Weaver will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby.
