Jessie Kanable, 91, of Viola, died Monday, October 6, 2015. Jessie Alberta (Wonn) Kanable, 91, Viola died on Monday, October 05, 2015 at Gundersen Healthcare Systems in LaCrosse, WI. She was born on March 27, 1924, in Rusk County WI, the daughter of Albert and Daisy (Nelson) Wonn. She was united in marriage to Dyle E. Kanable July 02, 1950 in Dodgeville, WI. She graduated Lone Rock High School in 1942 and Madison Beauty Culture School in 1944. She worked as a Beauty Operator for her good friend Elsie Everson in Avoca until she married. She loved traveling, oil painting, sewing, cake decorating but most of all she loved her family. Survivors include two daughters Bonnie (Jim) Thoftne, Soldiers Grove, Lorene Kanable (Kevin Tuckwood), Richland Center, three grandsons Matthew Thoftne, Mark Thoftne, Cashton, John Dyle Thoftne, Richland Center; seven sisters, Irene Trowbridge, Delia McLeod, Annabelle Sieja, Dorothy Linhart, Hazel Luethi, Marge Kaufman, Linda Nelson; one brother, Albert Wonn, Jr; three brother-in-laws, Wayne Linhart, Nick Nelson, Wayne Kaufman; one sister-in-law, Marian Perry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dyle, son William, and brother Anthony. She will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Viola United Methodist Church. Pastor Larry Stegall will officiate with burial in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday at the church after 9:30 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Viola United Methodist Church or Kickapoo Area Rescue Squad.
