John Brouillette

John Frenchy Brouillette 12/8/1942 4/1/2014 John Frency Brouillette, 71, of Viola passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Tomah VA Hospital with his family by his side. John was born December 8, 1942, in Montreal Canada, to Raoul & Marguerite Sabourin Brouillette. In 1953, John moved with his family to New York and began serving his country in 1964. John, a Veteran of the Vietnam War, held the rank of SP4 in the 82nd Airborne division of the US Army; earning Parachute Badge, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal and was honorably discharged in 1967. John spent many of the following years traveling the county. In 1995 he made Viola, Wisconsin his home. On December 1, 1999 he married his loving wife, Carmen Marie Parker. John enjoyed life through the simple pleasures; gardening, fishing, traveling, camping, hiking and reading. He enjoyed spending the winter months as a snowbird the warmer states of Arizona, Texas and Florida. John is survived by his loving wife, Carmen; step son, Michael Kelly Jensen and wife Karlene; two grandchildren, Meredith and Trenton; siblings, Gillis Brouillette, Muriel Peak, Claudette Marinelli; and several nieces and nephews; and by his loving dog, "Bella". He was predeceased by two sisters, Celine Fiset and Lillian Merchand. Military Funeral Services will be held at Vosseteig Funeral Homes Henthorn Memorial Center in Viola on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to honor and remember our beloved Frenchy. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Donations may be made to the family to help pay for the long term medical expenses.
