John Jack Whiteaker

March 28, 1946 — April 27, 2018

John 'Jack' Whiteaker, age 72 of Soldiers Grove died April 27, 2018. Jack was born in Boscobel, WI on March 28, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of Wisconsin. He resided in Solders Grove from 2010 until his death where he made many friends. Jack was a member of the BMZ church. Jack is survived by his two loving and faithful sons who were at his bedside during their Fathers last moments on this earth: Mark Whiteaker of Prairie Du Chien, and Mike Whiteaker of La Crosse. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Ashley, Amber, Sara, Ethan, Dylan, Jake, Hannah; and two great grandchildren: Ava Marie, and Everly Jacqueline Rose; four sisters: Beverly George (Rodney) of Richland Center, Gwendolyn Gardner (Lynn) of Gays Mills, Sally Carlson (Curt) of Spring Green, and Claudette Behling of Arena; three brothers: Theron Whiteaker (Bonnie Withington) of Richland Center, Thomas Whiteaker of Muscoda, and Timothy Whiteaker of Richland Center; and one sister in law, Cathleen Withington (Terry Whiteaker). Jack will be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends. Jack joined his angels in heaven, his son Scott Whiteaker and his brother Terry Whiteaker. Jack leaves you with his thought in his heart, "Dont cry for me, Dont shed a tear, for no more pain I feel, I have went on to a better place, The time I shared with you will always be, And when Im gone, please carry on, please Dont Cry for me, for my pain is now gone." A Celebration of Jacks life will be held at 1pm, on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Wayne Goplin will officiate with burial to follow in the Union Hill Cemetery in Mt. Zion. Friends may call from 12pm till the time of service at 1. Memorials may be given to the family or to the National Hemophiliac Foundation. Online Condolences may be offered at www.VossFH.com The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
