John Robert Wegner, 61, of DeSoto died Wednesday, November 11, 2009. John Robert Wegner, 61, of DeSoto, born in Loganville and previously of Beloit, WI, passed away November 11, 2009 after a short Illness. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Paula A. (Thompson) Wegner and their son Robert J. Wegner of Oshkosh WI; sisters Donna Berras of Madison, WI, Barb Hole of Columbus, WI, and brother Ken Wegner of Madison, WI; and several extended family members. John retired from Chrysler Corporation and enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A prayer services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the DeSoto Lutheran Church in DeSoto with Reverend Peter Beckstrand officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is serving the family.
