Joseph M Waldner

Joseph M. Waldner, age 79, of Lime Ridge, Wisconsin, passed away January 30, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born to Michael and Margaret Waldner in Utica, South Dakota. He is survived by Sarah, his loving wife of 58 years. Sarah was his faithful caregiver during his long struggle with Alzheimer’s and was by his side till the end. He is further survived by his children, Joseph (Jasmine) Waldner of McFarland, WI and their children, Hannah and JoAnna; Deborah (Peter) Waldner of Millbank, SD and their children, Matthew and Miranda (John) Kauffman; Michael Waldner of South Shore, SD and his daughter, Kayla; Steven (Trudy) Waldner of Lime Ridge, WI and their children, Ashley and Kaitlin; Frank (Christine) Waldner of Bloom City, WI and their children, Caleb, Magdalyn, Bethanie, and Rosemarie; Sara (Chris) Weathers of Westmorland, TN and their children, Ana, Rachel (Logan) Trowbridge, Victoria and Jordan; Karen (Rich) McBain of Reedsburg, WI and their children, DominiQue (Dolan) Hostetler, Austin, Karesse (John) Waldner, Sylas, Joash, Talitha and Micaiah; and Wayne (Patti) Waldner of Richland Center, WI and their children, Alyssa, Josiah, Daniel, Andrew, and Adriel; six great grandchildren; seven sisters; and four brothers. He was preceded in death by one infant son; his parents; four brothers and one sister. Joe was a very hard-working man that met challenges with fortitude and quiet determination. He moved to Wisconsin in 1988 and started a slurry hauling business with his son, Steve, and served his customers with dedication and a strong sense of duty. Joe enjoyed large family gatherings – whether it was a holiday, birthday, or outings - surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Many fond memories are cherished by those who knew his quiet smile and gentle love. He meekly served the Lord and was faithful in his Christian life and testimony. Thank you, God, for your gift to us – a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. You will be greatly missed by all of us. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Lighthouse Chapel, 345 S. Cairns Ave in Richland Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (There will be a break from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.) at Lighthouse Chapel in Richland Center.
