Joseph P. Knoble, 92, of Gays Mills died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 It was a breezy Wednesday morning when we went to mourning. Our beloved Joseph Paul Knoble left the company of family and friends on June 9, 2010, to spend his time with our Lord.Joseph was born in rural Crawford County on July 18, 1917, to Mike and Famie (Hammerly) Knoble. He married Evelyn Swanson at the Little Brown Church in Iowa on March 26, 1941. They farmed together their entire lives. Joseph was a member of the Mount Sterling Lutheran Church and served on the Cemetery Committee.Joseph Paul Knoble will be missed by his beloved wife of 69 years, Evelyn (Swanson) Knoble, brother, Raymond Knoble of Seneca, daughters, Shirley (Norm) Moffitt, Safford, Arizona, Beverly Spangenberg, Beloit, Joann (Dan) Felckowski, Beloit, and only son, Roy (Kathy) Knoble, Gays Mills. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Jeff Moffitt, Jody Ybarra, Mark Felckowski, Nicki Felckowski, Ronnie Spangenberg, Lana Dummer, Tammy Tinder, Reece Justus, Wayne DeGraef, Jr., Joseph DeGraef, Kari Hunter, Jason Knoble and Julie Knoble; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Paul, Henry and Harold, two daughters, Nancy Justus and Ruth DeGraef. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 17, in Mount Sterling Lutheran Church. Friends may call Wednesday evening 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Dommersnaes-Bertram Family Funeral Home, Gays Mills, and at the church on Thursday, 10:00 until time of service. The Dommersnaes-Bertram Family Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
