Joyce L. Hill

Joyce L. Hill, age 84 of the LaFarge / Rockton area, died earlier this year. Joyce L. Hill went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2017. She died of complications from pulmonary fibrosis. Joyce was born in La Farge, WI on April 1, 1932 to Lloyd and Carol Hutchens. She grew up on the family farm on Dutch Hollow Road near Rockton. Joyce was a 1950 graduate of Ontario High School. She was married on September 7, 1950 to Carl Hill, a career soldier. They lived in several states finally settling in San Diego, CA. In 1971 she earned a registered nursing degree and worked in that field until her retirement. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hill, her daughter, Kay Hill-Hanson, and her son, Keith Hill. She is survived by: her son, Carl Hill (Linda), a granddaughter, Charlotte Hill-Martz (Chad), and three great -grandchildren, Kaley, Kanden and Norah Martz, all of Castle Rock, CO. Joyce also has one surviving sister, Delores Sullivan of Brodhead, WI., and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park, rural La Crosse, with Pastor Ted Dewald officiating. Vosseteig Funeral Homes
