Judie Ann (Gudgeon) Steinmetz, 65, of La Farge died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse of Cancer.Judie is survived by her husband, Orland; Children: Julie (Steve) Greenland, Dawn (David) Haakenson, Suzanne (Chet) Wilson, Orland Steinmetz Jr.; grandchildren: Justin & Jordan Greenland, Ashley (Tom) Brudos, Chase Haakenson, Chelsey, Devin, Bryan, Morgan and Zander Wilson, Brennon Steinmetz; great-granddaughter, Emily Brudos; brother, Bob (Brenda) Gudgeon; sisters-in-law: Delores (Jim) Haugh & Margie (Tom) Strait; brothers-in-law, Merlin (Deanna) Steinmetz, Michael (Susan) Steinmetz; special friends, Brenda Withrow and Sue Walter; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Rebecca Gudgeon; father and mother- in-law, Donovan & Merle Steinmetz; and brother-in-law, Frank Steinmetz.The family would like to thank Dr. James Deline & Dr. Shawn Sedgwick and staff at the La Farge Medical Clinic for their years of caring service, and the Gundersen Lutheran ICU doctors and nurses for the excellent care given to Judie and her family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010 at the La Farge Free Methodist Church, Pastor Mark Phillips and Bonita Dorschied will officiate. Friends may call from 4 to 6 on Sunday at La Farge Free Methodist Church and also at the church on Monday one hour prior to the service. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
