Judith "Judy" Gobeli

Judith “Judy” Gobeli, age 71, of Lynxville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home. She was born on February 17, 1952, in Dubuque, IA to the late Clem and Ruth Kass.

Judy came to Wisconsin to work at St. Clair Hospital as a RN, LPN. Her love for children allowed her to stay home and raise her two sons, Ben and Gabe, through their early years. After the boys were older, Judy went back to work at Argyle School as a teacher’s aide in Special Education.

At the age of 50, Judy decided to go back to school for her Registered Nurse Degree. She then used her new degree to care for the elderly, working in patient care, administration, and as director of nursing until her retirement.

Judy was always a supporter of the arts, enjoying plenty of Blues trips to Jamaica to be considered Jamerican.

Judy is survived by her husband, James of Lynxville; son, Ben of Ironton, WI; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Kass of Greenwood, IN.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gabriel; parents, Clem and Ruth Kass; and her brother, Rick Kass.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from noon until 4:00 p.m. at the Lynxville Community Hall in Lynxville.
