Julia Chellevold Larson,101, entered the peace of Heaven on December 8, 2014. She was born to Ole and Dorothea (Tangedahl) Chellevold on September 5, 1913. Julia lived in Gays Mills until 1990 when she moved to Luther Manor in Milwaukee, where she enjoyed many active and happy years. She has resided in assisted living in Pewaukee, WI near her daughter for the past several years. Julia was an active member of Luther Memorial Church and the Eastern Star. Interests included golf at the Viroqua Country Club and the local bridge group. Julia is survived by daughters, Judy DeBruine, Sussex, WI and Janice (Jack) McClelland, The Villages, FL grandchildren: Ann (Doug) Abere, Lakeville, MN, Mark (Laura) DeBruine, Burlington, WI, David DeBruine, Sussex, WI, Liz (Joe) Frigerio, Brookfield, WI, Rachel (Joel) Ehrendreich, Japan, Jackie (Scott) Alter, Chicago, Kirsten (Chuck) Piacentini, Portland, ME, Peggy (Kevin) Wood, Chicago, IL, John (Nicole) Calian, Seattle, WA, Virginia (Lyle) Solverson, Carbondale, IL, Chris (Susan) Larson, Readstown, WI, Kay (Marty) Herbst, Sandy Mason, and Debbie Larson, all of Soldiers Grove, WI, Pat( Terry) Mechelke, Hudson, WI, Kathy (John) Paulson, Janesville, WI, Mary Dosch, Elburn, IL, Tom (Sharon) Dosch, Madison, WI, and Jean (Dick) Weymouth, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Alberta (Bernie) Couey and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olaf Larson, her son Jan and daughter Mary Gilmore; her step children Carl and Lillian Larson, Art and Bertha Larson, Mildred and Fred Clarke and Leona and Leon Dosch; sons-in-law, John Gilmore and Hal DeBruine; grandson Roger Larson, and great-grandchildren Signe Solverson, Richard Mason and Charles Herbst; sisters Dena (Nordahl) Severson and Marie (John) Bedusek; brothers Arthur, John (Evelyn), Herman (Leona), Carl (Doris), Norman (Helen), Otto (Mildred), Marvin and Ervin (Elizabeth). Memorial services will be held at 11:30 am on January 17, 2015 at Luther Memorial Church in Gays Mills, WI. Pastor Lorie Betz will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 10 am until the time of service. Online condolences may be offered at www.VossFH.com The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
