June Annette (Parker) Buros, age 88, of Viroqua, died at Bethel Oaks Memory Care in Viroqua on December 30, 2024, after a long illness. June was born on June 22, 1936, to Harold and Luva (Rundecker) Parker in Readstown, WI. She grew up at the Ross Cheese Factory that her dad operated. She attended Viroqua Area Schools and later graduated from the Vernon County Teacher’s College. She taught at several country schools prior to her marriage. She married Roger “Curly” Buros on December 29, 1956. She also worked at Vernon County Human Services and retired after 30 years.
In addition to caring for her family, she enjoyed gardening, home decorating, quilting, cross stitching, cooking and baking. She was an extremely hard worker and excelled at everything she enjoyed.
June is survived by her children, Lynn, Michael (Katie), and Bradley Buros; her grandchildren, Savannah (Tyler) Sherry, Hendrix, Sophie, and Harley; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger “Curly” Buros; two sons, Alan and Daniel Buros; one daughter, Laurie; and two sisters, Arlene (Earl) Gilman and Vivian (Daniel) Welch.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Oaks Memory Care, Immanuel Lutheran Church, or the Vernon County Historical Society.
