June Larson

June E. Larson, age 81 of Westby, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was born on June 7, 1932 in Viroqua to Beauford and Ethel (Skrede) Inman. On January 2, 1952 she was united in marriage to Sigert Larson, Jr. in Iowa City, IA. They worked together on the farm where she was also an excellent cook and homemaker. She was in charge of the chickens and missed the farm work after they sold the cows in 1991. She was a member of the Dell United Methodist Church and the Sugar Grove Homemakers Club. Following their retirement, they enjoyed camping. In addition to her husband, Sigert, Jr., she is survived by three sons: Steve (Evie) and Brian of Westby and Randall (Sue) of Belvidere, IL; four grandchildren: Stephanie Hanson, Jeffery Larson, Kent Larson and Elizabeth Schmit; nine great-grandchildren; six siblings: Richard (Donna Myer) Inman, Robert (Doris) Inman, Marlene Nicosin, Bernita (Jack) Ridlon, Judi (Pete) Hansen and Jerry (Sue) Inman; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister Beverly Inman; brother, Larry Inman; granddaughter, Stacie (Larson) Miller; sister, E. Lorraine Dahl; and son, Edward Larson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dell United Methodist Church, E11196 East Bloomingdale Road, Westby, Wi 54667. Pastor Karen Bankes will officiate with burial in the Bloomingdale Cemetery. Friends are invited for visitation on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
