Karen Johnson

Karen K Johnson, age 70, of Gays Mills died March 29, 2017. Karen was born in Madison WI to Floyd and Virginia (Cordary) Tarbox on September 9, 1946. She was a graduate of Oregon High School in Madison. She married John Johnson on June 3, 1967. Together they raised two boys, Scott and Brian. Karen was a long time member of the Community of Christ Church in Montgomeryville on County X in Crawford County. She loved to knit and sew. She also enjoyed baking and cooking, but truly loved decorating for all of the Holidays. Karen is survived by: her husband John, two sons; Scott (Kari) Johnson of Viola, and Brian Johnson of Fennimore; four grandchildren: Ty Clancy, Bryana Hanratty, and Talan and Montana Johnson; as well as a special sister-in-law, Donna Gottschalk of Madison. Karen was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 12noon on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Community of Christ Church, east of Gays Mills on County X. Pastor Barbara Duke will officiate with burial following in the Montgomeryville Cemetery. Friends may call during a visitation from 11:00 A.M. to 12 noon before the service. A luncheon will follow.
