Karen Tollefson

Karen Ona Tollefson, 73, of Lancaster, WI and formerly of Viroqua, WI, died on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at UW Hospital in Madison. Karen was born September 25, 1941, graduated from Viroqua High School in 1959, from Luther College in 1963, and taught for many years at Lancaster High School. Karen loved to bowl, and was the president of her local chapter of USBC (United States Bowling Congress.) She was a member of Sons of Norway and Sognefjordlag, and was the membership secretary for many years at Sognefjordlag. She was preceded in death by her parents, Obed and Carrie (Morkri); her uncle, Aad Tollefson; cousins: Thea Tollefson, Arlene (Brose) Sueker, and Mike Johnson. She is survived by her aunt, Elaine Tollefson; her cousin, Mary (Douglas) Vap, and their family; also survived by cousins: Richard (Judy) Brose, Peter (Pam) Brose, Alton (Gloria) Brose, Dorothy (Don) Kjelland, Donna Johnson, and their families. She is also survived by her two God daughters: Robyn (Brose) Johnson and Tammy (Kjelland) McCosh. She was so thrilled to have been chosen to be their God Mother. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W Decker St. in Viroqua. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon till the time of service at 1. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
