VIROQUA Kathryn Lavon Paulson, age 94, of Viroqua died Thursday September 28, 2017 at Vernon Manor. Lavon Paulson, 94 years old, passed away on Thursday September 28, 2017 at Vernon Manor in Viroqua. Lavon was born on November 14, 1922 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin to Wilbur and Kathryn (Schwingle) Berryman. After graduating from high school she continued her education until earning her Masters in Education. She was united in marriage to Orrin Paulson in Highland WI on August 10, 1946. Lavon taught Business Education for 28 years, of which, 19 years were at Westby High School. She is survived by: three sons, Richard (Cindy) of Westby WI, Jon (Georgia) of Edgerton WI, and James (Debbie) of Waunakee WI, as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Donald Berryman of MacFarland WI, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband Orrin, a son Douglas and his wife Judi, and her parents Wilbur and Kathryn Berryman. A Funeral Service, celebrating Lavons life, will be Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Pastor Yvonne Marshall will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery following the service. Friends may call during a visitation one hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00.
