Kathy Lindvig, 56 of Westby, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Kathy Lindvig, 56 of Westby, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. She was born July 8, 1953 in Viroqua to Maynard (Gruff) and Odie Lindvig. Kathy attended Westby and Viroqua schools and was a 1974 graduate of Viroqua High School. She lived in La Crosse and worked at ORC for many years before moving back to the family farm in 2000. In 2008 Kathy moved to Westby and lived there until her passing. Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents; and her twin brother, Kenneth. She is survived by her brother, Kelly (Karol) Lindvig of Tomah, WI; sister, Peggy Lindvig and her husband, Jim Bobenage of the Woodlands, TX; three nephews: Matthew Lindvig (special friend Laura) of Wayzeta, MN, Eric (Erin) Lindvig of Charleston, SC and Tim Lindvig of Madison, WI. A special thanks goes to Eileen Knitt for being a best friend to Kathy for many years. A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Vernon Memorial Hospital, Gundersen Clinic, Bethel Home and Vernon Memorial Hospice for your wonderful care of Kathy during her illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main, (Hwy. 14) in Westby. The Rev. Doctor Steven Fossum will officiate with burial to follow immediately after the service in the Coon Prairie Cemetery, rural Westby. Friends may call at Vosseteig Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
