WESTBY Kenneth Albert Bjorge, age 56, died Wednesday May 3, 2017. Kenneth (Kenny) Albert Bjorge, 56, of La Crosse, WI died at home Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was born on February 16, 1961 to Albert Edvin Bjorge and Minerva Alvia (Haugen) Bjorge. Kenny graduated from Logan High School of La Crosse in 1980. Shortly after high school, Kenny entered the National Guard and was active for 5 years. After being honorably discharged he went to work at Northern Engraving in West Salem for a period of time, followed by a variety of other odd jobs. Kenny was an avid sports enthusiast. His interests ranged from billiards and darts to baseball, football, and basketball. As a teen, he became a devoted Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs fan and remained so throughout his life. Kenny truly cared for his siblings and demonstrated his love by memorizing everyones date of birth and then calling every year to let them know he was thinking of them. Kenny was a social person, rarely missed a party, and loved the company of everyone he knew. He had a quiet and gentle soul, with a kind heart that touched many people. Kenny is survived by sisters, Eleanor (Roger) Johnson, Janice (Ray) Hale, and Elisabeth Bjorge; brothers Argele Bjorge, Douglas Bjorge, and Jeffery (Johnna) Bjorge. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Minerva, sister Maryann Lorraine Larson, twin sister Kathleen Minerva Bjorge, and brother Steven Mark Bjorge. Honorary pallbearers: Argele Bjorge, Doug Bjorge, and Jeff Bjorge. Funeral services will be at 3:30 P.M. Thursday May 11, 2017 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Pastor George Shick of Redemption Chapel will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant View Cemetery east of Westby. Friends may call during a visitation, on Thursday at the funeral home, from 1:30 to 3:30 before the service. In lieu of flowers or plants memorials are preferred.
